DROPPER BOTTLES MRF bottles are great for not leaking. The dropper can be used empty as a wand on one's skin, or can offer a drop from the dropper if one is looking for a wee bit more essence on their skin. They are not a bottle that can just be grabbed for a dab. The dropper bottle needs two hands to remove the Perfume Essence (or "Juice") from the bottle. It may be seen as not as handy for a rushed application.
SPRAY BOTTLES Spray bottles do not leak. They are slim for pockets and bags and very easy to apply with a quick spritz. There is the possibility that a spray nozzle may malfunction. At MRF, I test each spray bottle to eliminate the disappointment of a malfunctioning bottle. I do not prefer spray bottles myself because the scent gets on my clothes and it is my preference to have it only on my skin.
REDUCER BOTTLES (plastic top in the neck with a wee hole for fine drops) Reducer Bottles do not leak if closed well and the reducer orifice also helps in preventing leakage. To me, the reducer bottle is the replacement for a roller-bottle. Place the bottle on one's skin and rub a few times. It spreads a small amount of essence on to the skin. No dripping; and can be done any where, easily.
STOPPER BOTTLES These are like a reducer bottle however there is a plug on the plastic reducer piece ensure even greater leakage prevention. The down side is they require an extra step in lifting off the plug in the reducer piece to apply the essence.
DIPPING WAND A glass wand attaches to the lid for easy application to the skin. It is like a dip stick but I call it a wand. It is very convenient and controls the oil amounts and placement. I love these little bottles. The downside is that the wand is breakable and needs care to not be hit against the bottle neck or dropped on the floor.
OPEN NECK BOTTLES Open necked bottles are the traditional narrow neck Perfume/ Fragrance Bottle. Simply open and place a finger on the neck and tip the bottle to transfer essence to your finger and then dabbing the perfume essence on to your skin. These are leak free, simple and classic. I love open neck bottles for my oils!
Please let me know if you have a favourite that is not here. I am happy to explore more bottles - with "No Leakage" as my priority!!!
ABOUT MRF BOTTLES
I generally want clear glass to show the beautiful essence I have created. When I cannot find clear bottles, I will go to tinted bottles. My preference here is blue. Tinted bottles are needed more for oil-based products to protect them from light as light breaks down natural oils. Our essences are in the "smaller realm" of bottles and our solutions will be used faster than large bottles. If our essential oil essences are diluted in ethanol, they will preserve for years.
I used roller bottles for several years, and still have roller bottles in stock. They do not travel well - especially air travel because they tend to leak. They leak if they get warm and when they bounce around in a bag. It is so very important not to sell a product in a bottle that leaks so I no longer offer roller bottles.
I hope this helps you to find the bottle that you like to use. This is yet another way to make our MRF perfume essences a lovely experience. Enjoy!!!!
